What Grease Means To Me:
When I first started to learn to belt, one of the first songs I sang was “There Are Worse Things I Could Do”. Rizzo had been a dream role for a long time. I feel like with Worse Things, I had a deep connection to the song before truly taking in what it means. This was also the first show I did post-undergrad. So in a corny way it felt like everything aligned when it came to being cast in this show. Rizzo’s journey is beautiful to me with how she overcomes her fear of rejection. She learns how to be open and embrace love (platonically and emotionally). She empathizes to me how it’s simply okay to change your mind and let the people you care about in.
